In June, our CEO and Founder, Rhian Mannings MBE and Corporate Fundraiser, Gareth Rees, had the pleasure of being invited along to the Valero Benefit for Children Classic charity day at the Celtic Manor Resort.
This is the 2nd year that 2wish has been chosen by Valero as one of the charities benefiting from their fundraising efforts, and we’re so incredibly grateful for their support and generosity.
Rhian and Gareth offered their volunteering services throughout the day, helping out with tasks such as tagging golf bags, and assisting with the ‘closest to the pin’ competition on the Montgomery course.
Despite the gloriously Welsh weather, Gareth and Rhian didn’t let this dampen their spirits and got stuck in with the festivities of the day, networking, volunteering, and sharing the mission of 2wish at every opportunity.
Now in its 11th year, the Valero Benefit for Children Classic charity day raised an astounding £526,000 which will be divided between the chosen charities to help fund the ongoing support they provide.
We’re so grateful to Valero and their support of 2wish over the past couple of years. Their generosity will enable us to continue providing support for those affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person. From the bottom of our hearts…diolch yn fawr iawn!
