Georgie’s Challenge: Reaching New Heights with Leigh Day

With Georgie’s Challenge only a couple of weeks away, we recently took the opportunity to meet with our challenge sponsors, Leigh Day, to discuss why they decided to come on board and what our partnership means to them.

What motivates Leigh Day to support 2wish?

Our team has specialised expertise in fatal claims and inquests. As such, we know firsthand how devastating bereavement can be for families affected. Our solicitors will often refer clients to non profits offering support, and have seen the positive impact organisations like 2wish can have. We have numerous partnerships with charity organisations spanning a wide range of causes to help facilitate this vital support.

How did you choose 2wish as the charity to support?

We are aware of the excellent work 2wish do supporting families affected by bereavement of children and young people in Wales. Having just opened an office in Cardiff, they seemed like a natural charity to support as we look to foster partnerships in the region. In particular, we admire the critically important immediate support offered during this hugely distressing time.

Why do you believe people should support 2wish?

The support offered by 2wish is unique in its scope and a lifeline for families going through the worst time in their lives. We believe that further support would allow the organisation to grow and help more people.

What aspects of supporting 2wish are you looking forward to?

We are looking forward to seeing the positive impact of our support on families affected. As a national law firm, we are aware that there are other regions where such immediate support is harder to find, and therefore we are keen to see the important services that 2wish provide expand into new regions.
