Corey Robinson

On the 24th of May 2014 I experienced the worst day of my life. A loss like no other. I was informed whilst in work by police officers my beautiful son Corey had been killed instantly in a road traffic collision. Corey was 3 weeks from his 19th birthday and will forever be 18 to me.
Corey was snatched tragically and unexpectedly. He was a gentle, kind , funny loving soul and will forever be missed by us all.

I can’t describe or even put into words how the loss of your child changes your world forever….his smiles, laughter, voice and just his presence is missed every waking moment .
I was unaware of the charity 2wish upon a star until a very good friend suggested it as somewhere to look for some help earlier this year.

It took just one email and the support I received was instant, where the team provided me with contacts locally to speak to a professional.

I was able to receive several counselling sessions where I was able to begin to talk to someone openly and in confidence about my thoughts and feelings regardless how irrational they may have seemed to me at the time.

I still have a very long road ahead of me and a fight that I will never give up on but what a blessing to have a support network to get you through the darkest days of your life .
