International Women’s Day 2025: Accelerating Action for 2wish

Last Friday, 7th March, we had the privilege of coming together for an afternoon of inspiration, empowerment and gratitude at our second annual International Women’s Day luncheon at the beautiful Llanerch Vineyard, Hensol.
It was an unforgettable gathering filled with meaningful conversations, delicious food, and a shared passion for celebrating the strengths of women everywhere.

From the moment guests arrived at the Woodland Marquee, the atmosphere was electric with warmth and community. Members of the 2wish team were there to welcome our guests, setting the stage for a day dedicated to honouring incredible women and the impact they have on our lives.

Inspiring Stories from Remarkable Women

We were incredibly fortunate to have the brilliant Kate Lewis (ITV News Presenter and Journalist) hosting our event, guiding us through an insightful and moving panel discussion, as well as presentations from 2wish founder and CEO, Rhian Mannings MBE, and BBC The Apprentice Finalist, Scarlett Allen-Horton. These inspirational women took to the stage, sharing their powerful stories of resilience, determination and success. The words truly resonated with attendees, reminding us all of the importance of lifting each other up and continuing to break down barriers.

Building Community, Creating Change

This day would not have been possible without the support of our kind sponsors, Hugh James and Ntitle. Their continued belief in our vision as a charity allows us to organise events like this so we can bring people together, whilst making a difference in the lives of those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person. We are beyond grateful for their continuing support.

Reflecting on the day, we left feeling uplifted and with full hearts. Coming together with a community of women on this poignant day to celebrate, support and inspire was truly special. We hope everyone who attended left feeling the same – knowing that they are a part of something bigger, supporting those whose lives have been affected by sudden bereavement. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
