Here at 2wish, we understand that in the darkest moments, the right support can make a world of difference. That’s why we’re so incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of Hugh James, long-time friends and supporter of the charity. Their commitment to standing with those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person, means a great deal, not only to 2wish but also to those we support.
This year, we’re delighted to share that Hugh James will be supporting two key events in the 2wish fundraising calendar; the Little Ball of Hope and International Women’s Day. These events not only raise vital funds and awareness but also bring our community together to, remember, support and inspire.
We recently spoke with the Hugh James team, to get their thoughts on why supporting 2wish is so important to them.
Hugh James is a top full-service national law firm with offices in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Southampton, and Plymouth.
We have a long history of supporting people who have been seriously injured and bereaved and believe in empowering people at the worst time of their lives and helping them move forward. We see ourselves as very much part of the circle of support, working closely with and alongside the emergency services, medical professionals, and charities.
2wish is a charity that like Hugh James, has its roots in Wales. We were hugely inspired by Rhian Mannings and the tragic circumstances that led to her setting up the charity to help other families who find themselves in a similar situation and given the work we do every day, we wanted to partner with 2wish and support the brilliant work it does.
For most people, losing a child or young adult with their whole lives ahead of them is unthinkable. The reality is devastating. Anyone who finds themselves in that situation needs and deserves immediate and ongoing bereavement support, which thanks to a dedicated team and generous and vital support for its work, is what 2wish provides.
We are proud to be 2wish’s main legal partner. We are looking forward to working with the charity this year on a number of different events, including the International Women’s Day Luncheon at Llanerch Vineyard in March, and the charity’s flagship event Little Ball of Hope at the Vale Resort in May.
