Last month, our incredible CEO and Founder Rhian Mannings MBE, Corporate Fundraiser Gareth Rees, and the ever-charming Gorgeous George proudly flew the 2wish flag at the 12th Valero Benefit for Children Classic, hosted at the stunning Celtic Manor Resort. It was a fantastic day filled with community spirit, generosity, and unforgettable moments, all in support of children’s charities across the UK.
Now in our third year as one of the chosen charities, we’re incredibly grateful to Valero for continuing to support our work with families affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person.
The day began with some classic Welsh weather, but the skies soon cleared, and the sun made a welcome appearance. Rhian and Gareth took to the golf course with enthusiasm, volunteering, chatting with supporters and players, and cheering on teams during the exciting ‘Fastest Through the Hole’ challenge. Meanwhile, our lovable mascot Gorgeous George made a star appearance, spreading joy, posing for selfies, and stealing the show with his charm. He was an absolute hit with players and guests alike, bringing smiles wherever he went!
This year’s event raised an incredible £650,000, which will be distributed among the amazing charities it supports, helping to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. We’re so proud to be part of this amazing event and so thankful to everyone at Valero for their generosity and belief in what we do.
