A beautiful new chapter has begun for 2wish with the opening of our new office in Llantrisant. To mark this exciting moment, we’re proud to unveil a breathtaking mural that captures the story of our charity’s journey in a way that words alone never could.
The mural, which stretches across the walls of our new space, was lovingly created by Claire Danvers, a talented local artist from Huxley and Mabel. Her work brings our history to life with warmth, colour and emotion. This project was made possible thanks to the generous support of our long-time friends at JNP Legal. Their contribution helped turn a vision into reality, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued belief in what we do.
Beginning in 2012, the mural opens with a portrait of our beloved mascot, Gorgeous George the elephant. From there, it flows through the key moments that have shaped 2wish over the years. Each brushstroke tells a story, from the early days of raising awareness and building support, covering world records, expansions and a long list of achievements the charity has obtained over the years, all the way to 2025, marking the opening of our new office and the beginning of a new era.
This mural is more than just decoration. It is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and the incredible community that has helped us get here. Every milestone painted on the wall represents lives touched and families supported. It honours the people who have stood with us, whether by volunteering, donating, sharing our message or simply being there when it mattered most.
It’s a space filled with meaning, where our past and future meet. The mural invites reflection, celebration and connection. It’s a tribute to resilience, compassion and the belief that even in the darkest moments, there is light to be found.
Settling into our new home in Llantrisant, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement.
