Paul Burke Memorial Golf Day 2026

On Friday 5 June, we were proud to once again host our much-loved Paul Burke Memorial Golf Day at the beautiful Glamorganshire Golf Club in Penarth, and what a truly special day it was.

As rain stayed away and the sun came out, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Vale of Glamorgan, teams gathered ready for an epic day of golf. With a shotgun start at 10.30am, the course came alive with friendly competition, laughter and moments of reflection as players took to the fairways in memory of Paul.

Now a firm favourite in the 2wish events calendar, the Paul Burke Memorial Golf Day continues to grow year on year, and 2026 was no exception. Golfers of all abilities joined us, united by a shared commitment to supporting families affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person.

Throughout the day, the atmosphere was fantastic. From the ever popular on course competitions, including Beat the Pro, to challenges for Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin, there were plenty of opportunities for players to test their skills and enjoy a bit of friendly rivalry along the way.

We’d also like to extend a huge congratulations to our top 3 teams on the day:

1st place: AJ Gallagher (126 points)
2nd place: 2wish Young Guns (124 points)
3rd place: Genero (120 points)

Off the course, the energy continued with a lively programme of entertainment. We were delighted to welcome back Darren Tyson, whose brilliant entertainment kept spirits high, and Ellis Jenkins, who hosted a hugely auction. Their support added so much to the day, helping to create a warm and celebratory atmosphere from start to finish.

Of course, no golf day would be complete without great food and refreshments, and our barbecue and on course beer cart ensured players were well looked after as they made their way around one of Wales’ most stunning courses.

While the competition was enjoyed by all, the true heart of the day was something far more meaningful. The Paul Burke Memorial Golf Day is a time to remember, to honour and to come together in support of families facing unimaginable loss. Every swing, every conversation and every contribution helps us continue providing vital bereavement support to those who need it most.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every team who took part, every sponsor and supporter who helped make the day possible, and the staff at Glamorganshire Golf Club for their warm welcome and continued support. Events like this simply would not be possible without such a generous and dedicated community behind us.

As always, the funds raised from the day will go directly towards supporting our services, ensuring that no family has to face the sudden loss of a child or young person alone.

The Paul Burke Memorial Golf Day remains a truly special occasion in our calendar, a day filled with remembrance, connection and hope. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us in making 2026 such a memorable success, and we look forward to welcoming you back again next year.
