Employed by the NHS since 2009, Jonathan brings with him experience of working across Health Boards within complex Project & Programme environments. Over the years he has supported the delivery of a number of workstreams alongside Health Boards, Welsh Government Colleagues, Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (WAST) and the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS).
Jonathan’s current role supports the delivery of the Six Goals for Urgent and Emergency Care National Programme, established to transform and improve delivery of Urgent and Emergency care services across Wales.
Jonathan & his wife Lauren tragically lost their son Osian John Jones in March 2021 and they and their older son Theo have been supported by Rhian and the amazing team at 2wish. Seeing first-hand the impact bereavement support from this charity has had on his family and other families who have been affected by the sudden and traumatic death of a child or a young adult, has been the key motivation behind Jonathan joining the team.
Jonathan feels very privileged to be invited onto the board of trustees and is looking forward to bringing his personal and professional experience to support 2wish.
