Gwilym's Story

“This year, we’re taking part in the For Our Stars Memory Walk in memory of our beautiful baby boy, Gwilym Ioan Rees-Webb.

Although our time with Gwilym was far too short, he will always be part of our family. We talk about Gwilym every day and often imagine what life would be like with him here. That’s why every opportunity to include him, speak about him and honour him means so much to us.

It will be our first Memory Walk since Gwilym died, and we’ll be walking alongside our family to remember and celebrate his life. The Memory Walk is also a chance to be with other families who are walking in honour of their children and family members who I know who are so missed and loved. It means so much to be able to remember and honour them alongside Gwilym.

2wish has been there for us from the very beginning and continues to support us through our grief. Taking part in the Memory Walk is our way of remembering Gwilym, standing alongside other bereaved families, and supporting a charity that makes such a difference to families like ours.”

Edwards' Story

This year, Edward’s family will be taking part in the 2wish Memory Walk at Margam Park in honour of a much-loved son, brother and friend. Although Edward’s loss is felt deeply every day, his family continue to celebrate the remarkable young person he was, remembering his kindness, creativity, talents and the joy he brought to everyone around him. They are walking to keep his memory alive, alongside other bereaved families, and to support the charity that has been there for them throughout their grief journey.
